The relaunch of the MCC Central Lab Work Group takes place on May 24, 2018 at 10 AM EDT when the work group starts the process of updating the MCC Central Lab Performance Metric v2.1.
Based on survey feedback from CROs, sponsors and central labs, it is time to update the metrics and review the current central lab process workflow. While there were specific suggestions on modifying the existing metrics, several comments expressed the need for new metrics that focused on quality, including a review of the overall process flow, as well as removing some metrics.
Due to the results of the survey and a majority of respondents identifying Central Lab data as being critical for risk-based monitoring, a review of the metric set is essential to support new initiatives in supporting risk-based approaches.
Current MCC Members are encouraged to join the Central Lab Work Group to help collaboratively refine the metric set.
MCC members are also invited to join the MCC Central Lab Performance LinkedIn Group to engage with the MCC community and stay up-to-date on the latest news about MCC metric sets and tools.
